WHY KINDNESS IS GOOD FOR YOU

Scientific evidence has proven that kindness changes the brain, impacts the heart and immune system, and may even be an antidote to depression. We are actually genetically wired to be kind. In this talk, inspirational former scientist David Hamilton shows that kindness has evolved in us and that its effects are felt daily throughout our nervous systems. When we show kindness, compassion, forgiveness or gratitude, our bodies are healthiest and our immune systems strongest.

You will hear about fascinating new discoveries, including: how kindness developed in our genes; that love and kindness can make a damaged heart regenerate faster; how kindness and compassion alter the neural structures of our brains and are good for our health; and that gratitude can make you at least 25% happier.

You'll also learn how kindness produces a hormone in the brain that actually impacts the lining of your arteries in a very powerful and positive way, actually offering substantial protection from heart disease and even countering much of the effects of poor diet and lifestyle.

David will share simple, scientifically proven techniques, for gaining the benefits of kindness, compassion and gratitude in your life that will make you and your loved ones happier and healthier, as well as illustrating his talk with touching real-life examples of kindness from ordinary people.
