JANUARY 2012. HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hi Everyone

Our usual monthly newsletter didn't need to be sent in December because, as some of you will be aware, we have decided to stop holding talks at St. David's, Exeter and move them to Seal-Hayne near Newton Abbot. While we're finalising all the details of the move we have decided to take a break for a while and we expect talks and workshops to resume at Seale-Hayne in April. I've mentioned this possible move in the last two newsletters, asking for feedback before we came to a final decision and a lot of people got back to me. The general feeling was that the move would be a good idea, although some people living in or close to Exeter understandably felt that Newton Abbot might be too far for them to go. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts on the matter.

In the end the decision was made for us. On the afternoon of the last talk in November I got a call from Mary Quest who looks after the church and who has been of such great help to us over the last three years. She said the subsidence at the rear end of the church had taken a turn for the worse and for health and safety reasons we would be unable to have the use of the upstairs kitchen and toilet facilites because those areas had been cordoned off. For that reason there were no refreshments available that evening. The talk by Todd Acamesis did go ahead however as there are also toilets downstairs, but the general state of the church makes it impractical for us to continue holding talks there. The subsidence is apparently very serious and could worsen at any time. It will also take a long time to fix it. It's strange how things sometimes work out by themselves.

At least our final talk at St. David's was really excellent. Todd Acamesis spoke about his experiences as an out-of-body traveller, visiting not only the so-called astral plane, but many other different dimensions of which most of us are completely unaware. Although such things may be hard to believe in or understand for those who have themselves not experienced them, Todd's openness and obvious integrity left very few in doubt as to the truth of what he was saying.

The following day he led a workshop where he looked at the subject in greater depth and again it was very well received. I've seldom had such positive feedback after a workshop. Many of those who attended are keen to tell their friends about it, so if there is sufficient interest I'm hoping that we may be able to get Todd down to Devon again sometime in 2012 to give a longer full weekend workshop.

So here we are finally in 2012, a year that many believe will present the world with great changes and challenges. Predictions as to what may actually occur range from the catastrophic to the sublime. All of us can only really wait and see, but nevertheless, in this or any other year, all of us are involved in the outcome, no matter in how small a way. All our thoughts and all our actions make their contribution, in practical ways or ways that are more subtle.

At OneVision we're all looking forward in a very positive way to the coming year. We're hoping that the move to Seale-Hayne will result, not only in a continuing programme of helpful talks and workshops, but in a growing sense of community among those who attend them. We think Seale-Hayne may be a very good place to achieve this.

Finally, thanks to everyone who has supported us so far, for coming to the talks and workshops and for your general feedback about what we're doing. Keep it coming.

Best wishes for a very Happy New Year
